Yes and No. Evidence of third party insurance is compulsory at most marinas, harbours and in recognised mooring areas. To obtain an inland waterways licence, you need to produce proof of third party insurance, most lakes and reservoirs require the same. Not automatically, but cover for racing is normally available for an additional premium. 

How Do I Value My Boat?
The value of your boat should reflect the current market value. Small increase, up to say 10 to 15% will be quite acceptable. Where the value is not known or ambiguous they will need an independent valuation.

If I Place It On Cover When Do I Receive My Documents?
